Design Sprint Series

at the Center for Socially Engaged Design

The Work

Innovation in Action is a recurring design program run yearly by the Center for Socially Engaged Design (C-SED). Its purpose is to give students the space to tackle a design challenge they are passionate about.

In preparation for the 10th program cohort, C-SED wanted to take some time to evaluate and refresh the program.

They needed someone to run an internal design sprint for Innovation in Action staff to be able to reflect on previous cohorts and envision changes to the next one.

My Role

As the event facilitator, my role was to:

  1. Translate the client’s desires & goals into a two-part design jam series.

  2. Create hybrid and in-person activities around reflecting, envisioning, and ideating.

  3. Lead the group through these activities, exercises, and discussions during the design sprint.
